PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Charles Staerkle has over 14 years of experience in planning & design and building construction management. He was planning and managing the construction of several dozens of projects in Switzerland and abroad in the commercial, residential and public building sectors. In addition, he now has 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. He started as real estate development manager, continued as broker and tenant representative and was later corporate real estate manager and finally an investment consultant.
Specialized in acquisitions and dispositions incl. sale & lease back, he has sold several commercial properties on behalf of the owners; advised three foreign multi national enterprises on sale & lease back projects; and advised two foreign investors on the acquisitions of Swiss commercial property portfolios with more than 100 properties and values (purchase price) exceeding CHF 1 billion.
Mr. Staerkle designed and implemented the internationalization strategy of a leading Swiss real estate advisory services firm. He was responsible for the building-up and management of all international related business matters. Later, he was responsible for the building-up of the Swiss- German, and subsequently the Swiss base of a global leader in real estate consultancy services. In the summer of 2004, he founded the firm PEREGRIN Real Estate Investment Consulting.
Today, Charles Staerkle is managing director and president of the board of PEREGRIN. In this position, he is an adviser to significant Swiss as well as foreign real estate investors, major European mortgage and investment banks, and foreign multi national enterprises in their real estate affairs in Switzerland.

EDUCATION
Charles Staerkle’s background encompasses educations in building construction, architecture & planning, project management, real estate fiduciary services, marketing & business administration, and real estate development.
He has Swiss federal diplomas in building construction (BS) and in real estate fiduciary services. In addition, he finished the graduate study program at M.I.T. (Massachussetts Institute of Technology) Cambridge, MA with the diploma of a Master of Science in Real Estate Development.
Mr. Staerkle is fluent in several foreign languages and has published many articles on real estate topics in renowned Swiss press such as Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), Finanz und Wirtschaft, and Immobilienbusiness Schweiz. In addition, he was a real estate industry speaker at different private and public events.
